ACHA, a social enterprise of RDN, has provided a submission in response to the consultation on the draft Australian Medical Research and Innovation Strategy 2026 to 2031 and Australian Medical Research and Innovation Priorities 2026 to 2028.

In collaboration with Yiwen Wang, Dr Md Irteja Islam and Professor Alexandra Martiniuk from The University of Sydney, ACHA has undertaken a multi-year evaluation of Rural Health Pro to better understand how digital platforms can support workforce capability and professional connections among health professionals working in under resourced communities.

Through the CREATE Partnership, ACHA is exploring how socially accountable research can strengthen primary care and improve health access to health care in under-resourced communities.

What does equitable access to ADHD care look like in practice? Through a data-driven prioritisation model, ACHA helped NSW Health allocate specialist ADHD training opportunities where they were needed most - creating a transparent framework that could inform future health workforce reforms.

RDN and Australian Centre for Health Access (ACHA) attended Toward Unity For Health’s (TUFH) 2026 Conference in Manila, Philippines, held from 4 to 7 August 2026.

In late July, RDN's Senior Academic Advisor Emeritus Professor Roger Strasser AM, and Senior Research Analyst, Dr Brigitte Gerstl, represented the Australian Centre for Health Access (ACHA) and presented at the Australasian Association for Academic Primary Care’s (AAAPC) annual conference.

CREATE (Community-engaged Research in Education, Advocacy and System Transformation for Advancing Health Equity) is a seven-year international research partnership funded by a Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Partnership Grant and led by Northern Ontario School of Medicine University.
